Speaking to those organizational leaders who reference fictional TV Series ideas in business settings and meetings as a motivational tool. For instance, using the Ted Lasso mantra of “Believe” to try to motive members of your organization or company.
STOP! You are RUINING it! Here are some thoughts to consider:
This is a fictional TV Series, with fictional characters and fictional situations. They don’t exist. Why would I ever consider this as something that I can utilize in my REAL life. Its FAKE! You lost my attention when you pulled a quote from Ted Lasso, a story about an American football coach who is chosen to be the coach of an English soccer team. The concept itself is ridiculous. Everything you say after that is gobbledygook.
Additionally, you are ruining my enjoyment of these TV series. I don’t watch these shows to find ways to incorporate them into my work. I watch them because they aren’t about work. So far you have ruined Ted Lasso (won’t watch it) and The Bear (had to stop watching). Stop trying to shoehorn a fictional mantra into real life. Its non-sense!
Thanks, I feel better!
